Alcon’s new device will allow practitioners to diagnose and treat dry eye disease and meibomian gland dysfunction

Fred Ellis, head of dry eye devices at Alcon, talks with Optometry Times® Editor in Chief Gretchyn Bailey, NCLC, FAAO, about the company’s new device coming later in 2021. Alcon’s iLux2 will allow practitioners to diagnose and treat dry eye disease and meibomian gland dysfunction with the third-generation device that features high-resolution digital visualization, recording and media storage, a built-in near infrared meibography camera, and white light surface imaging.
