This new technology incorporates a torque management system and wavefront-based technology.

Visionix USA has announced their latest lens technology, the Briot Attitude 3, which offers a customizable eyewear experience.1 The Briot Attitude 3 is crafted to specifically increase in-house finishing capabilities and qualities to reduce the rate of remakes, making it suitable to practice owners who are also looking to save on their lab bills.1 The accuracy and speed of Briot Attitude 3 make it an optimal lens processing solution for modern optical practices.

“The new Briot Attitude 3 continues the legacy of our popular Briot Attitude system, this version is powered by innovation that takes the production of high-quality eyewear to the next level,” said John Vulich, the National Sales Manager for Finishing Solutions in North America.

“What I’m most excited about is the Torque Management System or TMS, a newly added feature that will allow our customers to maintain a steady and accurate level of pressure to the lens every time, reducing the risk of misalignment even on hydrophobic lenses. In addition, the TruFit Bevel will now utilize frame thickness as well as frame bevel position and depth to choose the ideal bevel position, width, and height for lens fit to frame. Simply next-level edging.”

Briot Attitude 3’s TMS adjusts edging cycles depending on the thickness of the lens and material. Additionally, incorporating the TruScan technology can trace extreme wrap frames easily and quickly while avoiding deformation.

Edging superiority powered by wavefront-based technology

The ergonomic design of the Briot Attitude 3 allows it to fit in compact spaces. It utilizes touch screen technology to allow toggling between functionalities, as well as combines both parallax-free centering and wavefront technology. Through Shack-Hartman technology, lens design, layout, and power map are visible and allow the optical power and prism to be displayed. The high-definition camera lets users see the laser engravings on progressive lenses and shows the actual lens map in the background allowing the user to see where the power channels will be, further enhancing visual comfort and lens performance.1

Live demos offered at VEW 2023

The company said in a press release that the Briot Attitude 3 will be featured for the first time at Vision Expo West (VEW) booth #F10065. In addition to the Briot Attitude 3, Visionix’s next-generation diagnostic and finishing technologies, including Optovue OCTs, will also be available for attendees to see. VEW attendees will be among the first to experience a live demo of the new Briot Attitude 3 in the United States, the company said in a press release.
