EyeSouth Partners has announced a new practice that has been added to its docket. St Lucie Eye, the company’s newest partner, represents the 10th affiliation in Florida and 43rd nationwide, according to a news release. The EyeSouth affiliate network now includes more than 320 doctors providing medical and surgical eye care services at over 235 locations, including 22 surgical locations.1

“St Lucie Eye has provided high-quality eye care to the Treasure Coast since 1948. We are fortunate to be a practice with a rich history and traditions. Partnering with EyeSouth allows our practice to preserve our culture, while giving us the support to have improved resources to better serve our community,” said Satyesh Rana, MD, managing partner of St Lucie Eye, in the release. “We will continue to utilize cutting-edge techniques and strive to provide exceptional, considerate care. St Lucie Eye looks forward to expanding as our community grows. EyeSouth was the right partner to allow us to keep our ‘mom and pop’ feel and achieve our goals.”

St Lucie Eye was founded in 1948 and has grown since its founding, despite its founder, Henry Branca, MD, passing away tragically in 1963 at the age of 47, according to the practice. St Lucie Eye was then incorporated in 1968. By the practice’s rebranding in 2020, an additional 4 practice locations had opened, with one of those offices relocating in 2016.2

St Lucie Eye specializes in the treatment and ongoing management of complex eye conditions and provides care for patients in St Lucie County and along Florida’s Treasure Coast.1 The practice provides comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, a premium lens selection, laser surgery, glaucoma management, dry eye management, eyeglasses, contacts, and an optical shop. Eye care providers are also equipped to care for patients with diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.2 The practice consists of 6 doctors (5 MDs and 1 OD), including a retina and cornea specialist, across 3 office locations in Ft. Pierce, Port St Lucie West, and Port St Lucie East.1,2

“At EyeSouth, our network consists of dedicated doctors providing patients with the best possible care,” said Chris Albanis, MD, chief medical officer and ophthalmologist at EyeSouth Partners, in the release. “We are eager to support the 75+ year legacy of St Lucie Eye, and work together to ensure continued success and personalized service for generations to come.”
