Andrew Morgenstern, OD, FAAO, FNAP:
Hi there. This is Andy Morgenstern coming to you live from Scottsdale, Arizona at the first annual International Keratoconus Academy Keratoconus Symposium. The meeting is going amazingly well so far.

We've had some great talks from our plenary speakers, Dr. Renato Ambrosio and Mike Belin, two of the folks that actually put together the Belin/Ambrosio display that people use for keratoconus management on Scheimpflug devices.

We have some incredible upcoming sessions. Later this afternoon, we have a white paper development session, where we're going to be going through developing a question list for the eye care provider to question their patients that they suspect for keratoconus, we're going to be developing an algorithm of care. So all eye care providers can know exactly what to do, step by step.

With that there's going to be a white paper written to kind of talk them through all the evidence-based medicine that's been presented at the conference, and to help them in conjunction with their questionnaire and their office algorithm. After that, we're gonna have some unbelievable sessions, a lot of talk about special populations. In the Down syndrome community and even in the military population, how keratoconus affects that population.

And then one of the last sessions that we're gonna have is something really unique, where we're gonna have live patients from around the world, kind of Brady Bunch in on a screen in a Zoom-style fashion, pre-ask some questions that they type in over the computer and ask them to a panel of our experts here at the IKA Symposium. Those doctors are going to answer those questions directly to those patients that are live, listening in from all around the globe.

We're incredibly excited about this Symposium. It's going bigger and better than we thought it would be, and hopefully next year, we'll see you May 18-19, 2024 in Bethesda, Maryland, for the IKA Keratoconus Symposium. Thanks, and we'll talk to you after the show.
