Irvine, CA-Kareo, Inc., a cloud-based medical office software and services provider for small medical practices, launched a new solution center designed to help private practices thrive in the current dynamic healthcare environment. Kareo Marketplace delivers private practices a curated selection of cloud-based applications and value-added services that can help practices optimize operations, deliver improved financial performance, accelerate adoption of electronic health records, and drive outstanding patient engagement.

Marketplace represents a collection of applications and services that are ready for immediate purchase and implementation. Each solution in Marketplace is selected based on the specific requirements of private practices and is included only after thorough evaluation and testing by Kareo. Options available today in Marketplace address such needs as provider reputation management, practice marketing, document management, specialty-specific EHRs, billing services, and consulting. All of the solutions offered in Marketplace integrate seamlessly with and build upon Kareo's medical office software platform.

Kareo Marketplace includes a variety of applications, including ZocDoc, a service that helps patients receive faster access to care and optimizes doctors' schedules. With ZocDoc, patients can find a nearby, in-network doctor, view their real-time availability, and instantly book an appointment online. For healthcare providers, ZocDoc helps grow practices by connecting them with new patients and improving efficiency.

Marketplace offers a variety of value-added services from leading companies, including billing, consulting, and document management. Another recent addition is Iron Mountain, a global provider of records management and secure shredding services. Iron Mountain provides practices with a collection of services that help them stay compliant with privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA.

Kareo Marketplace currently provides a selection of 13 specialty-specific EHRs, each designed to address the requirements of one or more medical specialties not served by Kareo EHR. A new EHR addition to Marketplace is Integrity EMR for Eyes, an EHR designed specifically for the demands of ophthalmologists and optometrists.
