Fairfax, VA - An American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Review Course will be offered at the upcoming 2012 American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA), April 20-24 in Chicago, according to the organization. The course will be held on Friday, April 20 at McCormick Place West in Chicago.

Delivered for the first time during the 2011 ASOA Congress, the ABO Review Course complements the Optical Forum at the 2012 ASOA Congress. The 8-hour course will benefit opticians who are preparing for the ABO Certification examination.

“The ABO approved courses will allow certified opticians who attend the meeting to obtain all their hours in one place and at one time,” said Arthur De Gennaro, Optical Forum Program Chair, ASOA Congress. “By providing ABO accredited education, ASOA hopes to encourage administrators, opticians, and ophthalmologists to attend courses together. This will foster better operational and strategic planning for the dispensary.”

A separate course registration is available and attendees of this course do not need to register for the entire ASOA Congress. Registration is available at www.asoa.org.
