AOA+ announces plans to offer over 2000 travel grants for Optometry's Meeting 2026

The American Optometric Association (AOA) and American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) commit to bringing together over 2,000 optometry students, early career optometrists and optometric educators for AOA+ at Optometry's Meeting®, June 17-20, in Phoenix. By making available AOA+ travel grants in 2026, the AOA and AOSA will help offset the cost of travel and alleviate any financial burden of attending this impactful event.

AOA+ empowers the next generation of optometric leaders through unparalleled opportunities for career acceleration, professional advocacy and meaningful community-building connections. Travel grant eligibility comes with registering for Optometry’s Meeting when it opens in January 2026.

Over 4500 doctors of optometry have participated in an AOA+ event since its launch at Optometry's’ Meeting 2017 in Washington, DC, connecting young and future optometrists directly with the AOA's network of established leaders within the profession.

As the profession’s premier annual event, Optometry’s Meeting aligns doctors, paraoptometrics and office staff, optometry students and industry professionals across four days of progressive continuing education (CE) and professional development, impactful networking and career-building events, an expansive exhibit hall with business solutions and practice resources, and leadership opportunities that advance the profession. Optometry’s Meeting 2026 will take place June 17-20 in Phoenix, Arizona.
