Bausch + Lomb launches preservative-free version of Blink Triple Care eye drops

Bausch + Lomb has announced the U.S. launch of Blink Triple Care Preservative Free eye drops, a multi-dose bottle formulation that uses the same clinically proven formula as the existing Blink Triple Care product but without preservatives, according to a news release.¹

The lipid- and water-based drops are designed to provide up to 10 hours of dry eye symptom relief. The formula includes a natural oil intended to slow tear evaporation and hyaluronate, a substance found naturally in the eye, to support hydration.¹

"Prolonged screen time and environmental factors are driving an increase in dry eye symptoms, and consumers are looking for products that fit their needs and preferences," said John Ferris, president of Consumer at Bausch + Lomb, in the release. "Blink Triple Care Preservative Free provides another option within the Blink portfolio, offering the same trusted 3-in-1 extended relief as Blink Triple Care while further strengthening our position in dry eye."

Jessilin Quint, OD, MBA, FAAO, and co-owner of Smart Eye Care in Augusta, Maine, said the preservative-free option addresses a specific patient need. "Having a preservative-free version of that same, science-backed formula is a welcome addition for my practice, particularly for patients who have sensitivities to preservatives,” Quint said in the release. “Because it's a lipid-based formula, it can be especially helpful for people with evaporative dry eye."

The product is expected to be available in stores and online at Amazon, CVS, Target and Walgreens by the end of June 2026.¹
