Fairport, NY-CooperVision has reached out to patients with astigmatism by expanding the parameters of its silicone hydrogel contact lens ([CL] Biofinity Toric).

The silicone hydrogel lenses now include plus powers, high-minus powers, and a –2.25 cylinder. The monthly replacement lens is now available in sphere powers of +6.00 D to –8.00 D; cylinders of –0.75 D, –1.25 D, –1.75 D, and –2.25 D; and axes around the clock. The lens features a base curve of 8.7 mm, a diameter of 14.5 mm, and axis of 10 degrees to 180 degrees in 10 degree steps; Dk is 128, and Dk/t is 116.

According to the company, the silicone hydrogel lenses now have one of the most complete parameter offerings of any toric lens available, fitting a wider range of patients with astigmatism.
