Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL, has announced plans to open a new optometry school. The university’s campus in Glendale, AZ, is already home to the Arizona College of Optometry.

Downers Grove, IL-Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL, has announced plans to open a new optometry school. The university’s campus in Glendale, AZ, is already home to the Arizona College of Optometry. 

The university recently unveiled its plans to build a new office and classroom building to act as the future home of the college, which will enroll 50 students per year. According to university spokesperson Jill Blair-Smith, the university has not yet received state approval for the program. The program’s implementation could be more than two years away.

Downers Grove is located about 20 miles west of Chicago.
