Pinellas Park, FL-Transitions Optical is celebrating a milestone of one of its employees-Carol Scharatner, who has achieved 50 years of service in the optical industry.

Scharatner began her career in 1959, delivering eye care to patients as an optometric assistant in private practice for 23 years. She later moved into education positions where, for 14 years, Scharatner consulted with eye-care professionals and optical labs.

She came to Transitions in 1994, first serving as customer training coordinator. In her current position, Scharatner provides education for lab partners and works with various industry associations to coordinate and present seminars and educational meetings.
