Boulder, CO-ZEAL Optics has relocated its corporate headquarters to a space in historic downtown Bolder, CO, the company announced.

The community in which ZEAL now calls home matches the company’s eco-conscious values. Most of the town bikes to work, hits the rooftop bars for happy hour and will always be seen running, hiking or rock climbing on the weekends.

In the midst of this, ZEAL reports it has created an environment that is vibrant and promotes open thinking and that will affect how the company develops new markets, provides services for retailers, and connects with customers, said John Sanchez, president.

ZEAL has committed itself to reducing its carbon footprint through innovative manufacturing processes. It is the only sunglass brand made from a plant-based resin. In line with its environmentally conscious culture, the renovated offices--a building that has existed in Boulder since 1898 and is the former home to the W.W. Wolf’s Meat Market--uses locally obtained beetle-kill wood materials for construction.

“We are very excited to be Boulder-based as we craft our future lines,” said Joe Prebich, director of marketing. “It is more important than ever to have real, strong roots in what makes us who we are! It's going to be a great ride!”
