Announcing keynote speakers for IDOC ‘The Connection 2022’ in February

Conference thought-leaders will address innovation, change, and navigating transitions.

The stage is set for IDOC’s upcoming national conference—The Connection 2022—that will take place February 24-26 in Orlando, Florida at the Hilton Orlando.

The 3-day event will return to a live, in-person format this year after being held on a virtual platform in 2021. The health and safety of event attendees is among the highest priority, and protocols will be in place to ensure a safe and comfortable event in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

The conference theme, “Inspiring Innovation,” will provide new insight into the critical role of business innovation in private-practice success. Supporting this theme with Keynote sessions are leading speakers and innovators Tiffany Lanier and Amy Jo Martin.

“It is our privilege to present attendees at The Connection 2022 with highly knowledgeable keynote speakers this year, both of whom champion innovation and growth for business owners and entrepreneurs,” said Dave Brown, President and CEO of IDOC. “After the difficulties of the past few years, we are thrilled to once again gather in person and empower our members to rise to the challenges of independent practice ownership.”

On Friday, February 25, New York Times-best-selling author Amy Jo Martin will present “There’s No Finish Line to Innovation,” leading attendees in an exploration of what it means to innovate for the long haul and how to thrive through the process.

The Connection 2022 will provide a full agenda of employee role-based tracks designed to inform, guide, and inspire IDOC members and hone their focus on the goals and challenges of independent optometry practices.

Multiple tracks will focus on individual roles and responsibilities, and specialized staff training and networking opportunities will be available throughout the event. IDOC members and non-members are encouraged to bring their whole practice and attend The Connection 2022 as a team to foster a spirit of collaborative innovation.
