Optometry Times® polled optometrists and eyecare professionals with the following question from October 2, 2020 to October 23, 2020:​ ​ What percentage of your revenue drop do you attribute to the pandemic?

The poll appeared on optometrytimes.com and was promoted on various social media channels. Results show a majority of responding ODs attribute 25% of their revenue drop to the COVID-19 pandemic.

10 optometrists responded, in total. Of these:

• 1 reported 10 percent of his revenue drop was due to the pandemic

• 4 reported 25 percent of their revenue drop was due to the pandemic

• 2 reported 50 percent of their revenue drop was due to the pandemic

• 3 reported 50 percent or more of their revenue drop was due to the pandemic
