Stanton Optical of Now Optics has announced that it will be expanding its onsite clinical services to 35 locations nationwide in partnership with Physician Eyecare Group. This allows for new diagnostic tools and treatments for dry eye disease and retinal health to be utilized at the said locations, which will increase access to advanced care for millions of patients across the US, according to a news release.
“We’re committed to advancing eye care by providing personalized evaluations for patients experiencing conditions like dry eye,” said Egla Suarez, OD, an independent eye doctor with Physicians Eyecare Group, in the release. “By using technology like optical coherence tomography, we can detect concerns sooner, educate patients about their eye health, and connect them with the right care, so they can get back to living with comfort, clarity, and confidence.”
The expanded clinical suite at Stanton Optical will include keratography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and personalized therapy options for patients with dry eye, including artificial tears, lid wipes for blepharitis, heat masks for meibomian gland dysfunction, and MiboFlo Therapy, a thermal pulsation treatment that restores gland function. The enhanced services will also aid in earlier diagnosis of dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Patients requiring specialized care will be referred to specialists.
Additionally, all 35 locations will be offering complimentary dry eye screenings and educational consultations.
“When the eyes are dry, they become more sensitive to seasonal irritants like pollen, wind, and dry air, which can lead to even greater discomfort,” said Brad Brocwell, OD, vice president of Clinical Operations at Now Optics, in the release. “With hi-tech diagnostic tools like keratography, we can identify the underlying cause and create a personalized treatment plan to bring relief.”
Advanced dry eye and OCT imaging services are now available at the following locations:
