Zenni Optical has announced its expansion into the world of contact lenses. According to a news release, the online eyewear retailer will begin offering contact lenses from manufacturers CooperVision and Bausch + Lomb, with more brands on the way.1

"We are incredibly proud of the legacy Zenni has built in providing affordable eye care to individuals around the world,” said David Ting, global chief technology officer and general manager at Zenni Optical, in the release. “The decision to offer contact lenses has been in the works for a long time and will help us further our goal of making vision care accessible to as many people as possible. Whether our customers prefer glasses or contact lenses, we now provide vision solutions that suit anyone’s lifestyle and vision needs."

With the ability to purchase both eye glasses and contact lenses in a single order, Zenni said in the release that it provides a “one-stop vision shop” experience for its customers.1

To order contacts, submitting a prescription can be done by either uploading a photo or entering the prescription manually. Zenni will then verify with the patient’s optometrist before preparing the order.2

Currently, lenses are available to order in spherical, multifocal, and toric/astigmatism types in daily, biweekly, and monthly lenses. Packs can range from 6, 30, 90, and 180 counts.2 Additionally, first-time contact lens purchasers receive 20% off their order plus free shipping on Zenni’s new contact lens website.1
