Prevent Blindness names Rick Gadd, President of Esssilor North America, its 2022 Person of Vision Award recipient

The award presentation event will take place on March 31, 2022 in New York, in conjunction with Vision Expo East.

Prevent Blindness has granted Rick Gadd, Essilor North America's president, the organization's 2022 Person of Vision award. Gadd will be honored on March 31, 2022 at 583 Park Avenue in New York City, in conjunction with Vision Expo East.

Person of Vision award

The Person of Vision award recognizes individuals and organizations who inspire healthy vision and its importance to healthy lives. This year’s recipient, Rick Gadd, was selected because of his impactful leadership and dedication to providing quality eye care products and services to the those across the country, according to the company.

As a board member for the Essilor Vision Foundation, Gadd’s impassioned work with Kids Vision for Life and Changing Life through Lenses has driven increased access to clear vision and healthy eyesight for adults and children, said Jeff Todd, president and CEO of Prevent Blindness, in a statement.

Prevent Blindness will donate all proceeds from the event to supporting its sight-saving programs.
