Euclid Vision receives FDA clearance for Be Free Day toric contact lenses
The lens is scheduled to become available in the US in fall 2026.
Euclid Vision Corporation announced that its Be Free Day toric lenses have received FDA clearance and are scheduled to become available in the US in fall 2026.
The daily disposable silicone hydrogel multifocal-toric lenses expand the Be Free Day lens portfolio for patients with myopia and astigmatism. According to the company, the initial launch will include 3 cylinder powers and 6 axis options.
Clinically significant astigmatism affects approximately 25% of patients with myopia, creating a need for lenses that address both refractive conditions, according to the release.
“The Be Free Day spherical lens has been a tremendous success in my practice since it launched. With a toric lens option, it gives me a better way to support my patients with myopia and astigmatism—while keeping the fitting process simple,” said Brianna Rhue, OD, FAAO, a clinical innovator in myopia management and early adopter of Be Free Day lenses in her practice, in the release.
The new lens, developed using technology from the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI), combines the optical design and properties of the Be Free Day spherical lens with toric correction for patients with astigmatism. The company noted that patient-reported outcomes for Be Free Day lenses have shown high satisfaction ratings for vision, comfort, and overall wear experience.
“We are excited about adding a novel toric lens to our daily disposable lens franchise, giving eye care professionals science-driven options that fit into real-world clinical workflows,” said Linda Chang, CEO of Euclid Vision, in the release. “Be Free Day toric lenses broaden our support of practitioners seeking flexible lens options for modern myopia care.”

No new fitting guide, equipment, or workflow changes are required for the Be Free lenses.2
